Open Young Ears! – An Offer for Schools

Ensemble Modern, the International Ensemble Modern Academy and the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie pass on their love for contemporary music.

›Open Young Ears!‹ is a programme that takes students straight to the heart of the musical action! During rehearsal visits, they witness contemporary music being made, meeting musicians, composers and conductors in direct exchange and gaining valuable insights into current works and compositional ideas. In preparation, a workshop is held either at the school or on the day of the rehearsal visit.

The objective is to inspire young people to engage with contemporary music, encourage their creativity, and inspire them to become creative themselves – beyond their usual patterns of listening and thinking.
